We stayed one night in our caravan. Grass standing and it rained a lot, so we got off early the next morning as the ground was saturated. Surprising, hidden site off the York ringroad and through a housing estate. Down a unpaved road and into the grounds of the owners house. Quiet and very nice. Bathroom and toilet available. One hour walk into town or easy bus ride. Recommended

Very small, only 5 pitches, on private terrain. A place with a lot of history, going back to the Roman-era. The owner knows so much about it and enjoys sharing his knowledge. Toilet, shower and dishwashing annex is plain and simple but very clean. Busstop 5 minutes walk and within 25 minutes you're in the center of town

Lovely little pitch with electric 3 miles outside York , we met one of the owners , lovely welcoming lady , has everything you need for a weekend away . Top marks .... however on our visit we had some complete bad mannered people pitch up next to us , 2 vans with 2 couples who on both nights played music into the early hours whilst laughing and carrying on till 4am one night without any regard to the other 4 people pitched up . Very rude indeed ! Impossible to sleep with the noise. This has no reflection on the site as it is great , spoilt by selfish people, maybe the owners could put in the camping rules " quiet time after 11pm?. Would definitely stay again but hopefully without the middle aged "rebels" thinking their 19 again .
