As a recent visitor to Auchengillan Outdoor Centre, I can confidently say that it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Each activity is meticulously maintained and supervised by a team of friendly, knowledgeable staff who go out of their way to ensure everyone's safety and enjoyment. Their enthusiasm is infectious, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. The accommodation at Auchengillan is comfortable and well-suited for groups of all sizes. Really good experience here, I attended with a Prince's Trust group and the centre put the students through their paces. The staff were excellent, very attentive and great with the young people. I felt safe on all activities despite my fear of heights. The nightline exercise was great fun and really got the students communicating well, everybody took a lot out of our few days there and I'd love to go back one day.

I have visited this site since the nineteen eighties. It was and is a fabulous resource for young people. Opened by Baden Powell himself in 1926, the extensive camping grounds offer great views over to the Campsite Hills, the Blane Valley and Loch Lomond. I use it as a base for DofE expeditions at Bronze level and find that it offers a touch of the wilderness experience while still having excellent toilet facilities and good running water. The site offers even more if you are looking for lodge accommodation and adventure activities and the status are very helpful

What an amazing facility Auchengillan is! We were there with our girls school for a few days, the staff, the accommodation and overall experience was second to none, the Tower is not for the faint hearted (60ft), but all the children climbed up it with no bother... I would highly recommend Auchengillan.
