Location was spot on for us visiting the Beamish Museum. Facilities pretty good but showers have a weak flow and the sensor to keep them going is to one side, so a but annoying, but new and clean. Strange how gone to effort and expense of putting in hard standing pitches, but not level, even with ramps. We had pitch 27, which was right by the end of the walkway down to showers, although convenient, it became the run-through for screaming kids. Not against kids, but after the 50th time becomes a bit wearing. Had to wear a wristband, which gave code to get into showers, seems pointless to me, but may have had problems, but no-one was checking it anyway. Staff polite.

Holiday park without a swimming pool. 41 pound for two cyclists with a small tent. Very busy, but nothing to do. Club upstairs opens late and has no terrace. Not close to any shop. Wi-Fi is NOT free

The club house has only just opened and felt a bit amateur. 😳 only us in there. Cola was flat and had no ice. The caravan was basic but comfortable. The beds have nice mattresses, and we slept well. There was a poor signal for our phones or the internet. The location is along a small winding county road. I wouldn't want to drive down in the dark. It was all OK, but we wouldn't stay there again.

Kept coming down telling us we were being too loud however its not even gotten dark yet, we atmt in an area surrounded by houses where people are living which I don’t personally see the issue. We are celebrating a 60th birthday so staff need to understand we are going to be. Little loud. I totally understand if we were having a laugh being loud as out, but we weren’t. We were told a family with children where in the cabin next to us and we were waking the family, however when we were in the garden they were being louder than us, not a great accommodation place at all unless you are going to keep quiet and be in bed by 9 I recommend other than that I don’t recommend for the price u pay

Great site..!! We used to come alot in our motorhome in the past and enjoyed our time on site, and in the local a area... This time we decided to book one of the sites hire static caravans, and very lucky to have a new beautiful clean and well equipped caravan with the extra treat of our very own private hot tub... The site is family owned with helpful staff, great service and facilities, the new club house is a most, entertainment, bingo, food and all round lovely atmosphere. A main attraction for this site is it's location..... 👍 Beamish Museum less than mile, Newcastle and Durham 20 minutes away the Metro center 15 minutes and the coast 40 minutes drive.. And lots more of area to explore and experience. And plenty do on site walking, play areas etc etc.. (I have noticed comments about children running around the site..... It's great to see kids playing, exploring and making new friends!! And not on computer games all day.) This site is perfect for a short or long stay and we highly recommend...
