Not sure whats happened, but when it first got taken over it was really good. The restaurant was great, the shop and ice cream/coffee kiosk was great. Now, they have very little in the shop, the coffee/ice cream kiosk is always shut and next to nobody in the restaurant! Whats happened? Its summer school holidays! Its hot! Why has the establishment suddenly gone downhill?

Went today to visit the lavander field which was ok seen as it was free... but the website said to book and was sent a code dunno why. We we arrived we went in to the restaurant to find a member of staff which was hard... the sweet and ice cream part was closer same as the the littel shop which was disappointing... then when I did ask member of staff for an ice cream we paid nearly 4 quid for a bot of ice cream in a simple cone after being explained they didn't have much as it was actually closed.... Woukd be good if these parts were open just seems more of restaurant/event space there This said I will check out cma crazy barn event so I hope u pull thro and it's good experience

We had an awful experience with using the camping facilities for our schools Duke of Edinburgh hike. We had 20 girls and 5 staff. We paid 50 quid for the use of the "facilities", which was one grimy toilet with a shower in the same cubical. The shower was then a coin shower, £1 for 4 minutes, not 8 minutes as it says on the website. We couldn't get any more than a trickle of cold water out the shower. We complained, and theh begrudgingly said they would look at it. After an hour the guy came back over to the campsite saying it was a Thames water pressure issue. He said it was fixed, it wasn't. None of our girls could use the shower, after two days hiking. And we paid an additional 50 pounds for these "services". There was one toilet all night and then in the morning before the farm shop opened for all 25 of us. The staff were more concerned that I sign a petition for the outside seating. We are not using the camping facilities again, and have already booked up a very close Guide site for a fraction of the price, and for amazing facilities.

Very disappointed in their Easter egg hunt. A hunt like no other!!… that’s for sure. We paid £15 as adults have to pay too and it was the worst experience even the kids asked ‘was that it’ eggs not hard to hunt for at all and not much in the way of decorating it Easter style. The large eggs in a nest were wet and paint came off all over my kids hands. Stall with a tombola style thing not worth the money and if paying separately it was £3 for a biscuit!!! No inflatables or trampolines open when we were there either. The Easter bunny came out and to be honest that was the only part my kids enjoyed. I do not expect the organisers will care at all as the only reviews they seem to acknowledge here are the positive ones which are about the softplay or restaurant, both of which we have enjoyed previously but this rip off would make me not want to return again.

We were WhatsApp the gate code as soon as we asked for it as we were arriving after 7pm, very easy entrance through the secure gate. Good instructions on how to find campsite. Loos well signposted and clean. Penelope’s was open for coffee from 8.30am, and food from around 9am. We got our delicious breakfasts (one full English and one vegan) just before 9am. A lovely start to our day. Staff were helpful, polite and friendly. Dogs allowed on the attractive outdoor seating area. Site was clean, only two other caravans so pleasantly quiet. Despite other reviews saying there was no reception/check in it really isn’t needed, the loos have huge lit up signs showing where they are. The water point is near the entrance to the camping area. Stayed for one night on way to early morning appointment local to site, campervan with two adults and two dogs.
