Absolutely loved our super relaxing stay over the weekend! Definitely going to recommend to friends and we'd love to come back again ourselves. We were provided with much more than we would have expected to, all of the amenities that we would have hoped for and more where present. Loved the free-use of the central heating as been as it's mid winter, nice hot, clean shower too. The hot tub was fantastic, loved having to collect wood from the shed and fire it, stoke it etc. ourselves. Very clear instructions for the hot tub also, as well as signs/ notes dotted around with further instructions/ info on the place. The only things I would recommend to future patrons are to: bring your own pillow if you're a bit fussy (we are (no fault of the venue)) and bring large towel(s) - if you're in/ out of the hot tub & shower like we were, the smallish shower towels provided, got a bit obsolete rather fast. BUT apart from that, we can't fault anything about the cabin/container, tub, drive, cleanliness, features, amenities etc. We can't quite understand the negative reviews before us. 👌🏼

Lovely place, so unique! Booked this for my boyfriends birthday and would definitely book again. The hot tub is such an experience as you have to heat it yourself. Rooms are lovely, and the views are stunning. Would highly recommend.

Me and my boyfriend stayed at Evelyns Hideout for 2 nights. We had the most perfect stay, the container we stayed in was the most private of them all and had spectacular views. We arrived not long after 3 with no issues at all, the pod was very clean and tidy and presented lovely. We absolutely loved our stay, the pod had everything you could possibly need and we loved the hot tub. We were worried as some reviews mentioned difficulty in working the log burning hot tub but we managed it easily both times and it was amazing to spend the evenings soaking in the tub watching the views and listening to the sheep. Highly recommend this place to everyone. Only one or two things that could be improved to increase the comfort of the pod which is the bed as it was slightly uncomfortable and the shower curtain was not long enough so the water would soak the bathroom which would leak into the main living space of the pod as the door would not close properly. Overall we had the most amazing stay and will be recommending to friends and family.

We stayed in Evelyn's Hideout and to say the least we were completely disappointed. When we arrived the bathroom door would not close more than halfway, as you can imagine this was a huge inconvenience. Because of this it meant the water from the shower soaked the kitchen floor making it extremely slippery and dangerous. Some amenities listed on the website weren't there such as cooking basics and a dishwasher. We expected a saucepan or two and as these weren't there we were unable to cook the food we had brought with us meaning we then had to leave to go shopping halfway through the night. The bed was also unstable and felt like it was going to collapse when we sat on it. The hot tub had no instructions and we had no luck in using it or getting it to warm up. After 4/5 hours of trying to get the hot tub to work we contacted the owners to which we had a response saying no one was available to help us and the main priority for them is the farm therefore insinuating that we were stupid to of contacted them. We did book the hideout for my partners birthday and we left feeling disappointed and upset. We feel that for £222 we didn't get our money's worth, had everything worked and gone smoothly we would of been happy to pay that. We do feel that the night we had wasn't worth that sort of money as we progressively found more issues that didn't allow us to relax at all. It got to the point at about 10pm where we discussed going home. We contacted the hosts after leaving with all this information and they sent a very brief reply saying they'd refunded us £20 they spoke nothing on the issues mentioned and frankly £20 is a joke. Very dissatisfied, won't be returning and urge everyone to stay clear of this place.
