Recently camped here twice over the summer and found it great both times! The staff were all super helpful and really polite, the fields are extremely well looked after, the lakes are clean and excellently stocked with loads of swims, the fish are all in excellent condition (the ones i caught anyway). The fisheries bailiff was super helpful and friendly. The shower and toilet facilities are numerous and adequate, the shower is warm. There is loads of wasps around the site but so long as your not leaving open food and drink around your seating area, it's manageable. Even the neighbours are friendly, one called Frasier gave me and the kids all a lift back to the site to save us walking on the road 😁

The Lodges. They are fantastic and the owners are excellent. I could go into great detail about the Lodges but enough to say they are not cheap but you really do get what you pay for. I cannot praise the owners enough for their attention to detail, the standard of equipment, location and setting. I would go again purely for the excellent accomodation. The campsite however is for a completely different holiday sector, if large camping groups sometimes noisily and numerous children thoroughly enjoying themselves till after dark are your thing then it's for you.

Lovely campsite, large park in the center of one of the fields for children to play until dusk, plenty of space on adjoining fields for playing games, good fishing and little trails to walk/run and a great pub within walking distance. Staff ensured kids finished playing at 9 in the park and music was not played aloud past 11 ,good facilities that were kept clean. A great weekend for our group 👍

Worst stay at a campsite. The staff were rude; dismissive and invasive during our stay. Firstly we were met with hostility when emailing back and forth with one of the male team as we had some issues with our payments. He was unhelpful and rude and insincere in his approach. Upon arrival, we were then escorted by a male team member, Darren. Half way along the road he stopped and got out to speak to another worker and made us wait over 10mins whilst they spoke. Then on getting to the ground, he proceeded to take a 15 min personal call whilst we waited in the car to be told where to go. Another male worker then continuously kept coming over to our tent to talk down to us. He was staying on site in a tent across from us and persisted to come over to us every hour to tell us off for something or another. He was totally inappropriate towards us, giving snide remarks. There was over 100 people on site, we were not loud or disrespectful to others, yet this male worker thought it was his duty to manage us on site. He however, continued to drink outside until 3am with this family, shouting and swearing. We were made to feel so on edge and uncomfortable during our entire first night that we decided to leave the next morning. On top of the staff issues, the facilities were awful! No toilet seats in the toilets, all were unclean. The sinks were all blocked and stunk and there was a huge wasp issue. Absolute shambles, the worst place we have ever camped. The entire staff team were awful and should be taught how to treat customers with kindness.

The location is fantastic, but unfortunately, the experience is let down by subpar staff who lack basic people skills and struggle to answer even simple questions. Noise levels are another major issue; while you're told you can’t play your own music, the site frequently hosts wedding venues that keep the entire campsite awake all night. Additionally, there's a nearby dog shelter, and at around 2 AM, the dogs go wild, disturbing everyone's sleep. The on-site park states that adult supervision is required, but in reality, children are often left unsupervised and run wild. Overall, despite the great location, the management and environment make for a disappointing stay.
