Absolute gem of a campsite! Janette is absolutely lovely - really friendly, amazing host who makes you feel very welcome and comfortable from the minute you arrive. A massive plus for us is how dog friendly the site and cafe is. The site is very well maintained and clean. Toilets/showers/washing up/waste disposal all included and all facilities kept tidy - always stocked with toilet paper which is unusual for camp sites! 😆 We loved the free range chickens roaming about and I even enjoy the cockerel replacing my alarm clock in the morning. Really quiet during the night - no noise from traffic or anything (we were in a tent!) Wouldn’t have known there was a train station very close by. They were doing a charity bbq this weekend and it was amazing! Saved us having to cook one night. We are already planning to be back several times over the next few months. This camp site has converted us from always visiting the East Coast! Massive thanks to Janette and her team.

Just had a lovely peaceful time with lovely quality and reasonable priced food. The owner was polite, helpful and made us welcome. Great to have a dog safe area and access to walks. The facilities were spotless. I will be back in august. Can’t recommend enough.

Just a huge thank you to Janette and John for their warmest of welcomes and allowing our families to visit us without question. Beautiful rural setting which gives you a wonderful insight into farm life. Can honestly say, think we heard 2 trains, if that, over the 4 days meaning you don't even notice they're there! Situated next to a lovely walking route which takes you into Rainford village and beyond. The Junction Inn is literally across the road and there is a shop within a short walking distance. Hubby had breakfast with his son in the cafe and said it was fab! Would hope we can return soon x
