We have had a lovely long weekend at Burton Constable, my son and his wife had gone and we decided to follow them, my son told me there pitch number ,so rang to see if there was availability, we got the pitch next to them. When we arrived to book in 2 lovely polite & helpful ladies booked us in and sent us to meet the warden who shows you to your pitch again lovely and polite . Burton Constable site is very clean & well maintained toilets and showers very clean and warm for showering and music playing which is a nice touch .Club house nice, drinks and food were a good price, you can take your dogs in the club house . Will definetly visit again .

Lovely maintained site with nice clean facilities. The pitches are of decent size and some overlooking the lake. Good prices in the pub which is dog friendly and there's some nice walks around the area. Would highly recommend as we've already rebooked

Our stay was planned and booked via Pitch Up website for Aug 3-5, 2024. It was a motorhome space 9x15m. Our arrival time on Aug 3 was quite late , 17.47 to be precise , upon arrival we tried to dial the phone number we were given 07752214677.We dialled 8 times but nobody picked the phone up. So we walked into the pub and the pub personnel helped us to find a person to show us our plot location. The lady came to see us and started with a reprimand that we did not call. As said earlier we did dial 8 times so we showed the calls record on the phone to her. Then she lead us to the location. We were very happy with it , the area was nice and tidy, neighbours were friendly. We started unpacking. Our sleeping space was planned in our car which is a transformer VOVLO XC90 that was planned to serve as our motorhome for the weekend. We have travelled and stayed that way many times before across the UK and abroad. Then we started to open and install a shelter (manufactured by Colleman and classed as ( EVENT SHELTER ). The same lady came to us and said that using a Gazebo is not allowed by terms and conditions of the Park. Our English is not perfect and we apologize for that. But there was nothing mentioned in the T&C’s mentioning that the SHELTER use is not allowed. The lady started arguing with us saying that neither our car nor the shelter are to the accepted standards. Even though she did not specified those standards. We have as said earlier travelled a lot before and never ever had any issues. She behaved in quite an arrogant way and her jokes were inappropriate. We think she behaved not to the standards of the customer service and we felt that our mood and stay were spoiled by that. She communicated with the manager and we were allowed to stay the night , we are thanking the manager for that of course. But instead of enjoying a nice time and nature we spent a few hours searching Internet in order to find the difference between Gazebo, Shelter and Awning that was with a joke mentioned by the lady. Before going to bed we made a decision to leave the Park because we did not enjoy it and our stay was absolutely made unbearable by the lady that served us on the day. So we had to make additional reservations and pay additional amount of money to spend the rest of the weekend in another Park. Hopefully someone will have a discussion with the lady on duty on that day about the way she supposed to behave and speak with the customers. We felt utterly humiliated and insulted by her.

Burton constable is one of our favourite campsites, but unfortunately, our recent visit was ruined due to inconsiderate, noisy campers. Music blaring out when we arrived & it didn't get any better. 9pm - their kids playing football with the ball, hitting ours & our neighbouring tent. Even though there's clear signage stating no ball games. 10:30pm - Guitar playing, loud, yet bad singing & when that ended at 11:30pm, they continued making noise & letting their feral kids scream & shout whilst playing hide & seek around other residents tents whilst shining torches in as they did it. Very disappointed at the lack of policing from park rangers as they live on site to stop this behaviour from happening. We decided to leave a day early due to this & will probably not return, which is a shame as it's a beautiful location.
