Fantastic campsite with lots of nearby walks and good facilities. Would be nice to have the option of electric when camping but doesn't stop you having a great time. The food served in the pub is good quality.

Excellent, I've not stayed at many campsites in the UK but this place is outstanding. I took my motorbike & camped. The weather decided to punish me but that's England in September for you. Super friendly & helpful staff, massive camping spot close to the super clean showers, toilets & various other facilities. Genuinely impressed. Despite the dodgy weather, thanks to all.

We wanted to come here for a while as it wasn’t too far from home and I’d heard good things. We stayed for three nights and my two boys really enjoyed it as there is a lot for kids to do. Can’t fault the pub and the swimming pool, excellent. Toilet/wash facilities were just okay, clean but I’ve seen better. The showers however were tiny and not the best. My issue with the place though was the other residents there. Loud music/talking until 10:30/11, I get we’re all on holiday but when you have younger children you want to get them down earlier. Other than that it wasn’t too bad. Not sure if I’ll go back though.

I had a couple of days here, low season so the price was very good. My pitch was great, nice and private with tall hedges on both sides. The toilet and shower blocks were very clean and well cared for. I cannot comment on the pub as it was closed when I was there, it being low season, but that was explained to me before I booked. The staff at reception were all very helpful and polite. This is a huge site and I imagine that in the summer it must be buzzing with activity as it is a perfect location for a family holiday. The fishing pond is beautiful and the fish in there are big. I mean big! The fishing is not easy as the water was very clear when I was there and there was little depth until you got some distance from the bank. The island is a holding point for the fish but there are some tough tree roots out there. Be warned, the fish are there, they are big and strong and they are a challenge. I loved this! I will definitely be going there again.

Stayed in our touring caravan good size pitches however if erecting an awning you will need sturdy pegs. Site was very clean showers were great. Good shop with all essentials. If you go in the week then bar is closed which was a disappointment.
