Lovely little site with great Riverside walks accessed from the bottom of the camping field. We were greeted by the very friendly proprietor and shown the facilities. A return visit almost certain.

Portayed as a CCC site as they asked for my club membership number, however, I doubt that it is, but if it is then CCC are falling down with inspections. Difficult to find with a very difficult access, I sustained damage to my caravan from overhanging trees, found the grass overgrown, and only 6 amp electricity, so not enough to boil a kettle! Told about an alternate power point which blew my electrics! There is roughing it, but not for me. The only good review that I would give would be for the canal walks with my dog. Definitely not on my list of recommended sites

Over the last couple of months I have been repeatedly staying in my tent at the the Bishops Stortford campsite. I particularly enjoy the location at the canal. It is ideal for country walks and cycling. Especially when it was hot it was the ideal place to keep cool. It has always been a quiet and save place to stay. The owner is very relaxed and easygoing. Looking forward to my next stay.

Not the best travelodge I've stayed in, staff member didn't seen to interest in dealing with my issue with the TV. When asking reception for extra coffer and sugar she made she finished what she was doing on her mobile phone. Don't see me stopping here again unless it's a last call.

Nice looking site located by the canal. Shame about all the noise we were kept up until 2 am by groups of tenters shouting singing and screaming. We were told by others it was the same the weekend before. Narrow driveway so don't bring anything longer than 23ft. On Stanstead flight path and near railway line very noisy. . Shame. Toilet on site is a shed and some electrics. My review is all over the place as I only got 3 hours sleep. Sorry won't be back
