I'm still here but felt the need to write my review beforehand. Competitive rates Absolutely amazing little getaway. Lovely friendly owners Great entertainment Reasonably priced drinks Great facilities. If I was going to recommend anything, it would be to put some lights on your 3 beautiful norway spruce trees. We will be coming back Katie & Darren

A few weeks ago we stayed in at this beautiful place, we was greated by Joe who was amazing. Our 3 young boys absolutely loved the place, very quite and out of the way, but that's what we wanted. The rooms were spotless & very moden with great finer details. The walks around the site are also very well maintained & beautiful. We will be 100% be back.

I stayed here early July 2024 having booked it in a bit of a rush based on location. Having then read a couple of the recent reviews I was a little nervous but there was no need, I enjoyed a great stay for what I needed. Please read on as it will provide some context to the earlier reviews. The site had changed hands the week before and I had a good chat with the new owners. They were very open and honest about how things are and their plans. I do agree that parts of the site need a bit of a tidy up and they are on the case with it - they showed me photos which showed how much they had already achieved. They already operate another site elsewhere and clearly know what they are doing. You stay on the front part of the site on some nice wide pitches with your own tap and double hook-up. The gravel strips could be a bit wider but careful parking allowed me to avoid stepping out on to the grass. The toilets and showers are in a block nearer the back and it was the back part where tidying was still ongoing. They are combined (like a row of ensuite bathrooms) and I found them clean and with plenty of hot water, quite luxurious for a campsite once you got inside them. The bar wasn't open but that didn't bother me. Beverley itself is a lovely town and well worth a visit. It's about 3 miles and I walked from the site to the town gate in about 50 minutes, 5-10 minutes more to the centre of town. Although it's along a main road there is a decent footpath all the way with an extra grass verge along most of it. The local village is a 10-15 walk, a quieter road but again with a footpath. Decent pub serving food. I'm not a cyclist but the main cycle route passes very close to the site. If you have kids there is a decent grass area away from the road for playing but I think you would need to take your own equipment. There are some lodges on the site which looked good inside but I didn't stay in them. A 5-star review may seem a bit generous, maybe I would have done 4.5 if I could but the site worked perfectly for me and I would like to give them some encouragement! I look forward to returning to see what it's like with some more progress but in the meantime please read the above to manage your expectations and if you want a progress report before booking try giving them a call.

We booked 3 nights here over the bank holiday weekend but checked out a day early. Check in was friendly enough. The pitches are ok because you have electricity and water hook up. Although it is near a road it didn't disturb us. The place is run down and unfortunately it doesn't draw you back. It doesn't state on the website the pizza place and bar is still closed! This was very disappointing. We found the showers and toilets dirty as people weren't always cleaning up after themselves. Like others have said for the price you could stay somewhere alot nicer. We would go back if they made a turnaround and started to look after the place again but I'm not sure if this will happen or not. I did send the owner an email after our stay but he didn't get back to me which was a shame. Hence why I am now writing a review.

On my visit it was shabby and in need of a tidy up. I have been told it's under new ownership and has improved. I will have a look before booking again though.
