We were looking for a forest location with plenty of dog walks. We stayed for one night in our campervan. The hardstanding electric pitches were generous size. Close to facilities block if required but we were self contained. We did take a look and they were spotlessly clean. The site has a coded gate and was very quiet and peaceful. The location of the site was outstanding. If you want incredible scenery, plenty of walks or are a keen mountain biker you couldn’t ask for more. Plenty of play areas nearby for kids, crystal clear water, cafe, plenty of bins on route. We look forward to returning and experience it again the summer. It would have been perfect if the forest drive was included for those camping.

Great site right by the visitors Centre. Perfect for MTB and walking. Good bike shop/workshop within walking distance. Would give it 5* but no phone signal at the campsite...not always a bad thing, but frustrating if you are planning your trip on the fly and an up-to-date weather forecast is handy in Wales 😂 You can get signal in the visitors Centre car park a short walk away...

We booked a 3 night stay but left after the first night. Campsite was very loud in the night. People being loud and movies blaring when trying to sleep. Weather was awful which made the ground too soft to keep tent pegs in. Lovely cafe, gets busy with walkers and bikers. Helpful staff. Beautiful walks. Would visit again just for walks but not for camping. Toilet/showers and kitchen area needs updating

Closed for 6 years due to larch disease but now reopened with better facilities. Still as scenic as ever. Great place to take young kids to explore nature.
