A neat and tidy little site, good clean facilities, and access to Delamere Forrest from the site. Staff were very helpful... delayed on arrival due to road closures, and they couldn't be more understanding or accommodating. Facilities were clean and well maintained, pitches are a good size, and they offer plenty of space between neighbouring guests. The only reason I can not give 5 stars is due to the location of the electricity point. We have a 15m cable, and it only just reached our pitch, and we parked right on the limit of our border. Had there been anyone next to us, it would not have reached as we had to run it directly across the next pitch. One could suggest we need a longer cable, but we never have so far.

Normally I would have given five stars but hooks in the showers/ wash cubicles needed either screws or to be there in the first place. One tap was unavailable all week, and there were no stools or flap-down seats in the showers. The site itself is good.

I went to visit a friend who was staying there in her campervan. The site is beautifully laid out, and it is marvellous to see the trees all around. I spent a few enjoyable hours in the sunshine and my friend cooked my tea for me. Lovely afternoon.

Just got back from our second visit here. We love it! Clean toilets/shower area lovely staff, well kept campsite and perfectly situated!. Can get through to delamere forest through a gate on the campsite which is a huge plus as we have young children and didn't want to walk next to main road to get to the forest. Will definitely return more in future.

Spent 2 nights at this campsite - and would happily spend a lot more there. Lovely welcome by the warden who buzzed us in through the barrier and then walked us to our pitch. Massive pitches on this site! Perfectly placed for a wide range of people, we had a lovely walk through Delamere Forest (not all of it mind, it's huge 😊) and then jumped on the train to Chester. The train station is literally just around the corner - you can see the station from the site, it's that close. 2 stops later and £20 return for 2 people and we're in Chester. Onsite as you'd expect the toilets and showers are well maintained and clean. Would I go back to this site - absolutely 👍🏻
