Just spent an incredible family holiday at Dovestone and I honestly wouldn’t change a thing. The lodge itself was extremely well presented, clean and comfortable. And the location couldn’t be better. We did 4 nights here and the location is perfect for both easy access to north west attractions such as Alton Towers, Chester Zoo, city centres etc, whilst also being nestled in a great location in the Peak District for plenty of long runs and walks. We will be returning next summer for sure, a must stay

I've stayed here a number of times now and I absolutely love it. The accommodation is beautiful 🤩 comfy beds. I stayed in a 6 berth Lodge with a big open plan kitchen and living room area. The outside decking is spacious, private and comes with a hot tub. Some of the other lodges that are new and stunning, each one is surrounded by modern frosted glass therefore they still offer a level of privacy, especially if you are using the hot tub etc. This week, the weather wasn't great however, it doesn't matter because there is so much to do and see. If you look on Dovestones Holiday Park website , you will see a drone shot of the park, which really highlights the closeness of it to the beautiful reservoir, which offers many options for country walks and hiking. The scenery here is breathtaking 😍 Uppermill, Holmfirth and Manchester City are not far from this stunning tranquil location. There are so many amazing eateries to choose from which are just in a short distance. The Clarence Hotel is just 5 minutes away where they offer a tasty menu and af course, a good pint of whatever you fancy 😋 Uppermill is full of gift shops, boutiques, coffee shops and restaurants - I highly recommend Abaco on the high street - absolutely delicious👌 Lovely friendly welcome, clean accommodation with everything you need and more. I will be back.

We really enjoyed our stay at DoveStone. The staff is really friendly and available for any question. First thing first, don’t miss the junction to DoveStoneRservoir the first on your right after leaving Greenfield. You’ll see DovestonePark lodges after that on the first right junction. The lodges are clean and neat with plenty of room : a big living room with the kitchen, two couches, an electric fireplace, a TV screen. The kitchen is well equipped with all you need, a gas stove, an electric oven, a dish washer, a microwave oven, a toaster, a kettle, a French coffee pot, pans, aso. In the lodge for 4 persons, there are two bed rooms, one with twin beds, and one with a big one. There are two bathrooms one with a shower attached to the master bedroom, and one with a bathtub. Toilets are in the bathrooms. Dove Stone park provides toilet paper, shampoo, shower gel, hand cleaning gel, conditioner, everything you need to wash the dishes, towels, sheets … You don’t need to bring anything except for the bathtub towels. On the exterior, you’ll find a terrasse with chairs and table in the front and in the rear of the lodge, a BBQ and a hot tub for four ! Pets welcomed (for a day fee), I don’t like pets and thinking that there could have been a dog in the room or even in the bed where I slept makes me shiver especially with the carpet on the floor in the bedrooms area. You’re warned. The surroundings are astonishing the reservoir and the tracks around are wonderful, 25miles away from Manchester you’re in the middle of nature. The sailing club was closed in July on a weekend, weird, and there is no canoe rental, I regretted that. If you want to visit by train the Greenfield station is not so far, but you need a car or the bus to go there. There are little parking slots at the station, it’s difficult to park. There is a Tesco in Greenfield and a lot of pubs, the first one is 10min away by foot. And there is a bus stop there. We really had a good time there, I hope you’ll also do !

Wot amazing place the views are amazing and definitely recommend coming to see it for your self we had a pod in side the bathroom cod do with some tlc new flooring as it's coming a way but a very nice stay we had

Had a great stay at the dovestones over whit Friday bank holiday weekend Went for a walk around the reservoir stunning walk and scenery Can't thank the staff enough friends came to visit us a d no problem withbghis Hot tubs were cleaned every morning and the lodge was spotless can't fault this place We will be booking whit Friday next year again Thanks again Iain and Joanne
