A really warm welcome from the owners after walking in across the hills from Storey Arms in some truely awful weather. Lovely flat sheltered pitch with an awesome view. Facilities are basic but a big one up from a wild camp, which is what I was after. Top notch compost loo. Lack of a bin is a bit frustrating if walking but I guess we just need to create less waste. Recommended.

This is a live farm which has converted several meadows into camping areas. Unlike many other camping farms, it's not just one big field but several spots with varied surroundings. I camped in a little glade surrounded by gurgling water, which felt incredibly cosy. There is a rustic but very functional bath house with a relaxing warm shower, loo and sink, all in matching porcelain from the 1930s. It also has an electric outlet for phone charging etc. The best feature by far, though, is Jeremy the farm's host, who was incredibly kind and helpful and really went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. He is also a unique guy to have a great conversation with, which I much enjoyed. I really can't recommend this place enough!

A beautiful campsite with friendly and inspirational hosts. A quiet site, immersed in nature with a range of different pitches. Easy access to spectacular walks, with caves and country park nearby. Highly recommended. I will definitely be back.

Arrived very late, greeted by the owner.. helpful and pleasant.. We stopped in a bottom field.. We were not exactly a motor home but our race truck..no hassle, no bother... tight corner at the church if you have a long van Had a bit of an issue with the shower but it was hot , wash room clean..but no hot tap in the sink or mirror for having a shave It's now on our list of drop ins 20 quid to safely park up in a quiet spot. Summery basic but nice, grand views On a main route , walking distance from the pub

Very helpful, lovely couple who had good local knowledge. It’s a good base for any big hikes. However it was a bit expensive for 2 nights as the facilities are very minimal as well as the charge for using the shower. Would come again but only for a lower price. Thank you ☺️
