Brilliant campsite with a little cafe/shop selling nice coffee. Great flushing toilets and warm showers. They communal area with charging and a freezer is really useful as is the covered seating. The children loved the table tennis and volleyball net. The site is really clean and very quiet with lots of space for people to pitch where they want. Cars are parked at the side of the field after you have set up so it’s very safe for children. Would highly recommend.

Just back from 28 strong ‘dad & daughters’ weekend trip at Embers Claydon and while tired (our own fault), it was a fantastic time throughout. The site itself is lovely, a really big space in fantastically beautiful countryside. The facilities were very good (clean loos and showers!) and with the amazing John on site 24/7, we were both safe and very well looked after. Having a bar and pizza oven on site is a great plus.

We had a great mini camping trip to Claydon Embers. We have been to the new forest campsite as well last year and both are very well run. The site staff are friendly and happy to help or offer advice. First night there was only us and another tent onsite and the guy working made an effort to check on us both and see if we needed anything else before closing for the night. We have always enjoyed the simplicity of the site and the showers and toilets are great for what we need. What I would do next time is probably move further back up the field rather than near the toilets (my choice as the staff allowed me to choose so not their fault) as down the front is near quite a busy road with lorries using it quite late into the night. Other than that we had a lovely shaded spot near the trees and loads of space which we know they always offer from being at the last one. Love the table tennis that was a hit with my son and communal space for eating our great pizza the first night. We hope to travel to some of the others and come back to this one (as not far from us and great as a mini break). Thanks!

This is a lovely site in a beautiful location with views towards the NT house at Claydon. The perfect balance of simplicity (lots of space) and facilities (good toilets/showers and a basic shop plus a covered area with tables and table tennis). Friendly staff too.

Unfortunately we had a very poor experience. The bell tent (which is expensive) leaked in various places. The floor and our belongings got wet and we had to leave 1 day early. I asked for a refund but was refused. They said they could have fixed the leak or moved us to another tent but given that we were cold, wet and miserable I'm not sure that would have achieved anything. My friend's bell tent also leaked. I don't think I'll ever go back to an Embers campsite as the customer service is very poor and I can't believe they wouldn't refund me the 1 night given that the tents are not watertight.
