A fantastic location with beautiful grounds. We hold our bi-annual vintage bike shows here and it's brilliant. Great staff, nice people and just a pleasant place to be.

Not been since I was a kid, so it has changed since then (35+ years) a lovely walk around the lake, plenty to see. You can take your car towards the lake and park up for a picnic, spend all day there. You pay for the car not per person. The cafe was really expensive, so definitely take your own.

Fantastic place to visit for the day. big parks, open space to relax beautiful walks around the lake. great for a bike ride. £5.50 to park there for the day. busy little cafe to pick up a coffee or an ice ream. Friendly staff

Very nice country park with various length walking trails for all ages and abilities. A couple of play areas for little people to enjoy. £2 parking this time of year for winter rates, rising to £5 in summer. I can imagine it gets very busy in the good weather so parking may be limited unless you get there early. Definitely a place to visit again in the summer.

The parking fee is £5.50 payable at the entrance next to a manned barrier. Decent parking spaces and there is a small coffee shop and toilets right next to it and a small outside gym. The first children's playground is opposite the coffee shop. There is a sandpit there and a nice climbing frame. And benches for picnics. The second one is further down the road on the left side. It has more climbing frames, swings, slides.. and benches to sit on. On the right side there is plenty of space for a picnic, a few benches overlooking the lake. And this is as far as we got. There is still a lot more to see and I can't wait to visit again. The weather has been amazing (we were really lucky) and it felt so peaceful here.
