Second time at the campsite. The place is still beautiful, very quiet, secluded and can have the whole campsite for the family. Had a great time with lots of friends and families all bringing kids & dogs. Facilities much better than the last time I was there. Highly recommended and will be back again!! Thank you to the operators who are very responsive and helpful.

Being the owner of a small camper van I’m a big fan of wild camping and I know the frustration of not being able to find such places.So i can imagine what it’s like for someone with a metal detector when they find a bit of treasure because that’s what it felt like for me when I found Emily’s Cut camping ground with water supply,cold shower & a portaloo which is cleaned on a regular basis.Also there is a lovely village pub just a 20 minute walk away which serves good food and are very welcoming. This site is level cut grass area of approx 2 acres,perfect for groups of friends,family’s & pets.The only thing about hidden gems like this is they don’t stay hidden for very long.

Absolutely perfect place to camp for both big and small groups looking for privacy and freedom. My group of 12 stayed for four nights and Absolutely loved our time on site. For a start the space is incredibly large, kept clean and tidy and surrounded by hedgerow for complete privacy. The comfort of easy road access and parking right next to your tent cannot be overstated. In terms of facilities there are picnic tables to congregate around and a large fire pit to use throughout your stay. The 2 portaloos were clean and easily accessible, as were the drinking water tap and cold shower cubicle. We enjoyed a meal at the local pub, trips into Leicester and as well visits to Bradgate Deer Park and Rutland Water and still felt we scratched the surface of the surrounding area. All in all this site is perfect should you want your own space and Andy made booking it a breeze. I intend to make use of Emily's Cut again and suggest you try it too.

We booked Emily's Cut as a base for a stag do where people were coming from all over the country. Everyone who came (even those anxious about camping) commented on what a great find it was; most couldn't quite believe how ideal it was! Because it's an exclusive use site we were able to spread out and not have to worry about bothering other campers - perfect for a lads weekend away, and good for those who wanted to slope off to bed "early", as they could go to the quieter end of the field. We had a mix of campers and tents, and everyone was happy. It's basic - a couple of portaloos and a cold shower (that only the northerners in the group braved!) - but it's all we needed. There's also a big fire pit which we were able to get some fantastic fires going on, picnic benches, garden chairs and a BBQ. We spent most of the weekend drinking and eating in the field, but there's also paintball and excellent go-karting (Stretton Circuit) near by. The pub in the nearby village (Rose & Crown, Tilton on the Hill) is only a 15 minute walk away, and is brilliant. Highly recommend and, if we ever have the need for a large group of people from all over the country to meet up again, we'll definitely be back!

Emily's Cut camp ground is the gem that no one knows about! I’ve stayed there multiple times with friends, family, even alone with my dog and it has remained one of my favorite escapes. The camping ground is located in the heart of Leicestershire, about 20mins walk on a public footpath through fields from Tilton on the Hill where there is all the important things like a pub for a late afternoon pint and a small deli style shop for bacon butties on a Sunday morning when you don’t feel like making breakfast. The site is for private group hire only which means there is no privacy issues or someone telling you to keep quiet if you decide to stay up till late! It is a decent size, around 2 acres of nicely cut grass with high hedgerows that provide privacy from all around. There are space for around 20+ tents and loads of room to park cars. The amenities are basic with a communal tap for drinking water and a cold shower, for the ones who need to "cool down", if you know what I mean. A chem loo is provided and professionally cleaned on a weekly basis. The 2 massive pub style benches can easily seat 10 people on each which is handy, come dinner and breakfast time. There is enough room to kick a rugby ball around and it has been known to see bottle rockets flying around to entertain the kids. Dusk brings out the wildlife, that is, if you are quiet enough and the pheasants and rabbits don't notice any movement, also lookout for the muntjac's and predatory birds, plenty around. Bring your own fire wood! There is a dedicated area to make a decent size bonfire and enough room for all to sit round. Your location allows for spectacular views of the night sky, and on a clear night the sky is packed with stars due to the distance from the nearest city and on 2 occasions we have spotted the space station going by. The owner is an "old" rugby player and very much down to earth, so bookings and payments are quickly dealt with, without any hidden catches. Take what you need and don’t forget to clean up after yourself to preserve the unspoiled beauty of our countryside. I would thoroughly recommend Emily's cut for a relaxing, no fuzz weekend or a few days more!
