Charming with great attention to detail. Wild camping vibes with excellent eco facilities. Quirky little touches made the character of this place stand out for me. Beautiful view. Small and perfectly formed!

The view was amazing. This is a campsite, so no rooms etc!! There did appear to be a hut. This is a eco friendly, off grid campsite with compost toilets that did smell rather a lot. Shower was OK, kept going cold, but once worked out how to use it properly was OK. People friendly

We arrived on a quiet, sunny Wednesday afternoon and a very kind gentlemen welcomed us and showed us around. A simplistic, back-to-basics, peaceful campsite with breathtaking views. The campsite had everything we needed including very posh compost toilets (which even smelt nice!) with a handwashing sink (water provided from the local bore hole.) We only stayed the one night so did not need to use the showers, however they were neat and tidy. An outside sink provided for washing up with a sponge and dish soap provided (the only thing was there was no hot water for the washing up but thankfully our fairy washing up liquid cut through the grease on our frying pans from breakfast with the cold water. In the grand scheme of things this was not an issue as if needed we could’ve boiled the kettle to give us some hot water but just something to consider). A beautiful off-grid, eco-friendly campsite that we would happily visit again and recommend to others with both views of the fields and looking over the city without any noise. A beautiful communal camp fire pit was available as well as small ones to borrow to use privately which we much appreciated to roast a few marshmallows. Not only all of the above but they had shopping baskets full of wood to use for our fire which were paid for via the honesty box and bricks to raise the pit from the grass. As well as eggs from the free range chickens we had the pleasure of meeting along with Ernie the Peacock. A lovely stay, thank you so much!

Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances we were unable to stay at the original campsite we had booked. Exeter View saved the day and welcomed us late at night from a long drive down from London. They hadn’t even opened for the season! The views are amazing and everyone was so kind and accommodating. Would highly recommend this campsite!

Absolutely stunning little find for our first trip away in our camper. Pauline on site was amazing and nothing was too much. Compost toilets and showers were very clean. We can't wait to return. Chris & Jax
