I had been eager to visit Far Peak for almost 12 months, but struggled to find dates that met the 2-night minimum stay requirement. The site itself is set in an idyllic location, offering picturesque views and a peaceful atmosphere. The pitches are grass-only, and while our pitch was secluded and away from the main road, it wasn't particularly flat, which meant we had to maneuver our campervan to accommodate for this. Unfortunately, the toilet and shower facilities left much to be desired. The number of facilities available felt insufficient for the size of the site, especially considering the high volume of campers. The toilets and showers were often dirty, lacked toilet paper, and the water pressure was low with mostly cold water. This was a significant drawback that affected the overall experience. On a positive note, the 'Old Smokehouse' bar was a highlight, offering a friendly atmosphere with reasonably priced drinks. The live band on Saturday night added to the pleasant vibe. The on-site kiosk had some basic essentials, but food options were quite limited. The pop-up burger kitchen, for example, didn't have any vegetarian options, so I recommend bringing your own food or planning to eat off-site. Overall, while Far Peak Camping has potential given its beautiful location, the experience was underwhelming due to the subpar facilities and lack of food options.

I had an amazing stay at the site, Darren was incredibly helpful and the most amazing hosts! i would recommend this site to anyone thinking of camping in the cotswolds! It’s so close to so many beautiful places! The showers were hot consistently and the drinking water taps were so convenient for our stay! We were pretty new to camping so this was a great first time for us! so so happy we chose here!

Good campsite. Showers and toilets are decent but not exceptional. Good bar, cafe, gym and climbing wall on site. However cafe and gym services closed on Sundays which is a bit odd.

Stayed here on route to Riat. Good campsite. Best to find a quiet space away from people and also away from the road as there can be a bit of noise till midnight. Will likely be back for next year.

Really good place for a week's stay. Clean and tidy with great staff. Ice cream was really expensive but apart from that everything was well worth returning again next year
