We just returned from a fantastic three-night stay here, and it was excellent! We were pitched next to our friends in the field that overlooks the play area, a lovely section of the site, which mean the kids could go off and play and we were able to see them from the tent. I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious the site is! The facilities are excellent—clean and modern. The shower block/showers were cleaned throughout the day. There's plenty to keep the kids entertained, and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We were especially impressed with how accommodating the site was; they were able to adjust our booking at the last minute with no hassle. The little on-site shop great especially for grabbing some cold drinks and forgotten essentials. We would definitely return! Rock pegs are a must!

Do NOT read the bad reviews and go off them! Honestly the staff are absolutely lovely, had no problems at all! The shop is so well stocked and such affordable prices. The kids parks are brilliant for younger and older children and there is also a football field. Mini golf, table tennis and pool you need to get the stuff from reception so if it’s after 7pm you can’t play as reception/the shop shut at 7! The pitches are really spacious and decent spaces between. Toilets and showers are spotless and the family bathroom is so spacious. Already looking to book up again

This is a fantastic location for a family getaway. We have stayed at the campsite multiple times and have always had a wonderful experience. The amenities, including the toilets, showers, and washing facilities, are clean and well-maintained. The kids' play areas are closed at nightfall to ensure a peaceful atmosphere. Additionally, there are wardens onsite to ensure the site remains quiet. We highly recommend this campsite for a family break.

Golden Square Caravan Park: A Tale of Two Halves Golden Square Caravan Park boasts a decent-sized site, perfect for families looking to stretch their legs. The playgrounds were a hit with the kids, even if they seemed to be open 24/7, defying all known laws of playground etiquette. The bathroom and washing-up facilities were clean and well-maintained, a silver lining amidst the chaos. We particularly enjoyed the dog walk, a serene oasis in a sea of screaming children. Unfortunately, the human element left something to be desired. Unsupervised children, liberally sprinkled with colourful language, transformed the site into a real-life version of Lord of the Flies. In stark contrast, the canine residents were models of good behaviour, always on a lead and generally well-mannered. It’s a shame the same couldn’t be said for their human counterparts. While the site itself offered a pleasant environment, the service was a different story entirely. The ‘face fits’ policy seemed to be in full swing, as evidenced by our abrupt 10:34pm shushing. Given our four-year-old was fast asleep in the tent, we couldn’t help but feel a touch of disbelief. The pièce de résistance was the staff conversation, broadcast live from behind the closed shop door. Clearly, doors are yet to discover their sound-proofing capabilities. In conclusion, Golden Square Caravan Park is a bit like a box of chocolates - you never know what you're going to get. The site itself is lovely, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. It’s a shame, as with a bit more attention to detail, it could be a fantastic place to stay.

Arrived after rain and needed assistance to get my caravan onto the designated pitch. They were able to do this very quickly with their 4x4 buggy. Similar at the point of leaving too. Lovely site with clean and well maintained facilities.
