A really nice scout site in the middle of the woods! Quite although toilet facilities are not the best they are useable.

It's a good place for the DofE expeditions because it offers a place to camp and have a bonfire, which is something spectacular no matter the age. It's green and somehow far away from noise, as is not close to the main road. Although I guess it is not such a big deal but the showers were not working when we visited the site, and the toilets definitely need capital refurbishment. They have taps for water, but not all of them work. The manager of the site is friendly and will try to help as best he can.

Good location for camping for Scouts. Location is not easily marked if your a first time visitor and a sat nav won't help you. Chaos with lots of other cars too..

Great walk round Blake's Wood always a favourite especially late April, early May when the smell and views of carpets of Bluebells is heavenly. Nearby Pub The General's Arms is a good place to relax with a Hot Drink and a Snack after woods. The path down by the side of The General's is a good place to start your walk!
