Really lovely camping trip! Lots of showers, and toilets and showers are kept clean. Plenty of space to pitch the tent, plus the location was so perfect — located right by the canal for plenty of walking routes and also surrounded by lovely pubs and bars. But what really made this place shine was the staff. Staff were so lovely and really went above and beyond to make us welcome and make sure we had everything we needed. Thank you so much for the perfect break away

We had the best trip. My sister and I organised a surprise camping weekend for our parents Ruby Anniversary and the staff were so supportive and attentive in ensuring the surprise went smoothly. There were two tents, one caravan pitch, one pod and 2 big chief wigwams between 17 of us. I stayed in the wigwam. It was really great and better than expected. It was clean and tidy, and a great space to have our baby rather than a tent. We like the area (once past the industrial estate). The weir and Fish and Eels pub nearby is lovely. The facilities are great too. I found them appropriately clean. We would definitely recommend and would 100% come back. Shout out to Gary, he was always checking we were ok when out and about around the park. My only 3 small areas for improvement would be gates on the wigwams (we brought our dog and had to keep blocking the stairs and ramp off ourselves with bins and belongings so she couldn’t make a run for it), maybe a couple of shelves in the wigwam for personal belongings or toiletries, and the goose poop was annoying, especially as my son is not walking yet and crawls and scoots around the grass. I understand its nature and will keep returning but a rake or small clear up around the tent areas would be appreciated.

To be expected from the location there is quite a lot of background noise from planes and trains. The on site facilities are clean and well kept. We had a wheelchair user with us and could not safely leave the site as the route to the park and pub has steps. This meant we had to walk in the road around a blind bend with fast moving traffic. There was also one night where other sure users were partying and playing music until gone midnight and there did not appear to be a slite warden

Stayed a few nights when visiting family locally, site very nice well kept toilet block with washers etc, also great little kids area, small shop for groceries and even coffee and sitting area. Staff very nice and helpful, location great for visiting the area or further afield like London. We will be back very soon.

While the campsite is located nicely, close to shops and a beautiful river with an amazing pub nearby, the site itself wasn't so pleasing. First we have been giving a spot to stay on the pitch where no one else was but the hord of geese, couldn't set a foot anywhere without standing in their poop and geese coming up to you. As we asked for a new pitch they stated that they couldn't do anything about the geese which certainly is true but in the main field where everyone else was was much less poop and geese traffic.... We then git a spot there which was OK. Next was the facility house which is only two toilets for all the people. Given that there was a group of 20 or 40 teenagers staying, it soon lokkede like a mess and in the morning there wasn't any toilet paper left, everything covered in dirt and other stuff and bins flowing over. I would expect for such occasions to increase the cleaning rounds of the staff.. It was disgusting and we left as soon as possible in the morning and spent as less time as possible there on our one night stay... Sorry, but I don't think we come back
