This was our second visit to the campsite and was an equally good experience. There is plenty of space between pitches and is quiet and peaceful, dog friendly too. The Fallow Deer sometimes come into the campsite from the neighbouring field; this is a plus point! Plenty of walks to explore and easy to walk or drive into Brockenhurst. The main toilet / shower block is good but the toilets in the converted 'portacabin' could be better, there is just no room at all in the cubicles. Also, bring a plug for the washbasins, there were none. The washbasins are also a bit of a trek from the far side of the field. These are minor observations though and just suggestions for improvements that did not spoil our experience overall.

Went to Long Meadow for a long weekend with my husband, mum and 4 young grandchildren for their 1st ever camping experience and we all totally loved it. The site was so well managed with helpful, cheerful, staff. Big thanks to Angie for rescuing me at the end of a long day and giving me a packet of pasta for 4 hungry as always grandchildren as I forgot to pack mine. She saved the day. Very safe for the children to just explore, easy access to the forest for walks or a river for the children to play in. Easy access to many places to visit in the New Forest. Lovely to see the deer so close up. Toilets and showers are kept so clean. Such a quiet site at nights so everyone slept well. Definitely a wonderful place to stay.

Wonderful site. Stayed for the weekend, the campsite was full, but everyone had lots of space and the facilities were great. I didn’t feel like it was busy. Also lots of respectful campers - very little noise. The deer made it a completely different type of camping, the kids and adults loved seeing them. Great walks on the doorstep too. Can’t wait to come back soon!

Stayed here for 8 nights, campsite right on the edge of the new forest 30 minutes walk from Brockenhurst where there are plenty of shops and pubs. Campsite facilities always clean and hardstanding pitches quite large. They have a pizza van on Fridays and Saturdays which is well worth using as the pizzas were nice. Walks into the forest straight out of the gate, great if you have a dog, she loved it. Plenty of places to visit around the area accessible by car. Would really recommend this site and the wardens are friendly and met us at the gate on arrival. Plenty of wild horses and deer in the forest and the deer even come and visit during the night on the campsite. We'll worth a stay here as it's a lovely site.

We’re all packed and ready to leave this wonderful campsite after a lovely week, despite the weather not always being spring-like! Our week started with very warm greetings from Angie, her first week in the job. She was really friendly and made us feel very welcome. She gave information about the site and then took us to our pitch. We had a hard standing pitch with a lovely view over the camping ground where a herd of fallow deer gather regularly during the day and night. I was also lucky enough to get some photos of red deer. There are walks/cycle paths into the forest straight from the site and you can walk to Brockenhurst in around half an hour. The toilets/showers were spotless and lovely and warm. There were three other wardens on-site during our stay…Fiona, Suzie and Ian. All were very friendly and went out of their way to make you feel like a very much valued visitor to the site. A lovely end to our week here was the wood fired pizzas from Esme’s Tearooms who visited on the Saturday evening. Delicious! All in all, highly recommend Long Meadow…you will not be disappointed!
