Stopped for 2 weeks, staff are very helpful and friendly. Check in was very easy. The green room and missing squirrel cocktail lounge are well presented, food is good quality and priced about same as other similar venues. Out of school holidays and weekends it’s difficult to get food and drinks as things are only open at sporadic times. Pool is nice, splash pool outside area is good and a decent football court area.

Amazing Experience at Away Resorts Portsmouth We recently visited Away Resorts in Portsmouth for a company retreat, and from start to finish, it was nothing short of fantastic. The range of outdoor games and activities was perfect for team bonding, with something for everyone to enjoy. The staff was friendly, professional, and always willing to help, making our stay even more pleasant. The food was delicious and catered to all tastes, ensuring no one went hungry! The night-time entertainment was a highlight, keeping us entertained and relaxed after a day full of activities. A special shoutout to Cathy, who was the perfect organizer and professional director throughout the entire event. Thanks to her and the incredible team, everything ran smoothly, and we all had a memorable time. I’m so happy to have found this place, and I’ll definitely be back with my family. It’s also a great spot for families with plenty to do for everyone. Highly recommend Away Resorts for any company retreat or family getaway!

We went here for our honeymoon with our dog in September. The staff could not have been friendlier or more welcoming. Everywhere is so dog friendly; even the restaurant and the staff seem so happy in their jobs. We were only there a few days and were sad we couldn't stay longer. The caravan was clean and it was great being able to let our dog run around without worrying he'd get out. We loved the hot tub and privacy of the darkened glass around it. Everything seemed so well organised. We loved it so much that we've booked to go back next year which the staff were happy to help us with. Please note there was an open door for the dog to get in; he was just being nosey!! 🤣

Lovely quiet park with mostly brand new or nearly new caravans and lodges. Hot tub was fantastic and clean. Lodges were in good condition, clean and tidy with decking and outdoor furniture. Visited in early July so quite quiet. Near to Portsmouth and not far from Southampton. Didn't use the swimming pool nor the restaurant so can't comment on the food, although is quite pricey.

Lovely staff- awful conditions. Left after 46 hours after arriving for our 5 day stay as we felt quite stressed about the hygiene. Dog hair all over the carpet on arrival. Clumps of it had gathered, it was really unpleasant. This was hoovered following notification to reception but there was still a lot of hair left. Didn't look like much attention to detail was had- dust and rust in places that could easily be cleaned. Food and drink marks on the walls. There was parts of the doorframe coming apart that needed to be forced back on. Dog poo all over the grounds- clearly there is no warden employed to meet the needs of this dog friendly site. Makes chasing after the children trying to dodge dog mess quite difficult. Nice outdoor climbing frame but not suitable for our two year old twins, unable to climb up this and no other real outdoor equipment available for them. Pool was a good size for our young family and quite warm which was nice. Breakfast wasn't available when we stayed for some reason. We didn't eat at the restaurant so unable to comment on the quality of food. Bedding was ripped and dirty- hairs, odd crusty marks, mould spots. Bedding was replaced when I phoned to let reception know. Staff were apologetic but that first impression had stuck with us and the place felt very unhygienic. Please be aware there is no way of locking your door from the inside- it is an automatic lock that means you are unable to open it from the outside but if you have little ones like us you'll need to create a male shift barricade for the door to prevent them from escaping at any point. This was particularly worrying at night. Don't expect a welcome pack that is so raved about in reviews. Make sure you bring loo roll, soap, washing liquid, sponges etc etc. pack as if you are going camping! This was our first holiday experience as a family. We work to tight budgets and this was a big expense for us and one I definitely regret. The staff at the site are not to fault, they are very lovely and want you to have a nice time but some things are beyond their control. We spoke to someone from the park about our experience and we were offered an upgraded holiday. We declined this as we do not have the desire nor the money to return.
