We did not stay here, we went for a deer but here course and loved it. Dan was welcoming and really friendly and knowledgeable, we learnt a lot and came home with lots of venison for our freezer - happy days. Only given 4 stars as the toilet was my idea of hell - full of flies and poo so when I waited 6 hours for a wee 🤦‍♀️. If you like off the grid, back to basics then this will be your idea of heaven and Dan who runs it is really lovely and helpful

Offgrid camping in a great location on a secure site. Let down by lack of facilities and those that were there were not working. Kitchen wash up area a great idea but cold water and waste not even connected up! Such a simple fix but seems this has been left like this for a while based on older reviews. Shower facility, but no instructions how to use it so could not shower. Similar reviews saying the same and others were struggling also. Basic instructions could aid this. Porta poti as opposed to toilet is fine as stated before our stay, but no water in the portable sink to wash hands afterwards. No rubbish bins, you have to take your own rubbish away which is tricky as not even bags are provided to collect your rubbish. No instructions when getting to the site. Overall a great idea for wild camping but some basic maintenance to the site and a basic washroom facility could transform this site. Tent was cozy with comfortable campbeds.

So I've never been camping or glamping before, but I absolutely loved it . The bell tent area was picturesque the facilities well off grid and perfect for what you needed. The atmosphere was seconded to none . The Southdown were beautiful to look over . You genuinely couldn't of asked for a nicer first experience of glamping.

If you're looking for a real off-grid night or two away then Morelands is perfect. We showed up yesterday for a one-night stay in Georges Hut. On our arrival, Dan offered us the larger hut because we were the only two on the site. We declined only so our stay was near the main campfire and communal kitchen. The hut was cozy and quirky and fulfilled all our basic needs. The toilets were adequate and what really made it was the provisions; we had packed for the night expecting bare-bones provisions, but the communal kitchen was adequately stocked, the honesty box was perfect for firewood, and the surroundings made for an absolutely magical night. My girlfriend and I will definitely stay again.
