Just spent a lovely two weeks on this site. Well maintained, clean and friendly site. Toilet/shower blocks are clean and twenty pence was ample for 1 shower. Good laundry facilities, £1.50 for a wash and £1.50 for dryer. The site owners regularly empty the communal bins throughout the day and the grassed areas were kept nice and short so no wet shoes! There were several stunning walks from the site, saw red squirrels and the bus stop and supermarket are a short walk away. Located next to a small airfield, we saw Tiger Moths and all manner of small light aircraft flying over. The site was very quiet and at about 7pm the main Sandown road goes exceptionally quiet too. Riding the motorbikes of an evening saw us on mainly empty, scenic roads. We had an ample sized pitch and had no problems with the electric. We ran a domestic hair dryer off it and other items, such as air fryer and TV (be sensible and use one electrical item at a time and there will be no issue).

This site COULD be a gem, if only the owners would keep the facilities clean and the grounds properly maintained. Our pitch, whilst theoretically big enough for our tent, was badly overgrown, under trees and on a slope. We had to cut back the nettles and brambles before we could fix the guylines and trim them again at the end of our stay before decamping. The toilet and facilities block was not cleaned properly in the 2 weeks we were there. On our first morning one WC had no toilet roll, so I assumed it would be replaced when daily cleaning was done, however, by the second morning a further 2 cubicles had run out, leaving only 1 cubicle with any. They were only replenished after I pointed it out in the office before going out for the day. I had to clean the basins every time I used them as they looked dreadful. The WC bowls were clearly not cleaned as faecal matter (present when I first went in there) was left untouched for several days (needless to say, I did not use that cubicle). Floors were not cleaned. The mop and bucket were left with dirty water for campers to use to mop up after using the shower. Oh, and whose idea was it to paint the floor and wall tiles before cleaning? There's dirt and hair mixed with the paint! On the plus side, 20 pence was sufficient for a shower. There are 2 washing machines and a tumble dryer available (tokens cost £1.50). And there are sinks for washing up.

Nice little site well placed for the bus to various attractions on the Isle of Wight. The site itself gently slopes in bits so chocks would be needed. The host was lovely, available and very helpful when we needed to ask about bus times. Nice pitch and good neighbours 😊We did ask to move and again this was accommodated no problem. We used our own facilities so can’t comment on the toilet/shower block.

I came here 3 years ago,it was a well maintained site. Sadly it looked run down. Shabby shower block, plugs missing in sinks, paint peeling of walls and floor. Broken paving slabes, weeds everywhere. Overgrown pond in poor condition. The barn or games room,in a messy condition. I couldn't see any money spent on the site. It's a shame it is a lovely campsite. In my opinion it just needs a bit of TLC.

A nice quiet campsite, everyone very friendly and quiet after 11pm. Showers 20p for about 5 minutes. Dated but clean set up. Right next to the airport, planes overhead from about 8.30 am, great to watch while eating breakfast, also parachuting when we were there.
