Tips and Considerations

  • Expect to pay for hot water in showers and for dishes, so keep a stash of 20p coins handy for this purpose.
  • The site is praised for its cleanliness; however, some users noted that the facilities could feel a bit basic for the cost.
  • Take note of the site's concern over large vehicles on the grass, which may be a consideration if traveling with a camper.
  • There have been mixed reviews regarding parking on the grass, and it’s worth inquiring about their current policy to avoid inconvenience.
  • If you're planning a poolside experience, it's best to contact the park in advance to ensure availability, as there have been occasions where the pool appeared closed.

Overall, Oxwich Camping Park offers a delightful experience for those keen on exploring the Welsh coastline and enjoying kinships in a serene environment. While there might be some logistical considerations to keep in mind, the site's natural beauty and convenient location are compelling reasons for regular return visits.

We love this beautiful site. The owners are so friendly and helpful. The facilities are always clean and tidy. And you have the beach and some of the most beautiful walks a short distance away. It’s why we keep coming back every year 💜

Carol and her Dad were the most hospital people ever. This is the first time I had visited, and I felt as if I had known them forever. The showers and toilets were spotlessly clean. There is a bus stop on the corner of the cross roads, and the beach is a mere ten minute walk. There is a fish and chip shop near to the beach, and an ice-cream parlour, which was very convenient I will definitely return

Firstly there is nothing bad about this site but there are a few things that make it less than perfect. Cost per night in a camper was £30 (No electric hook up) which is about average. BUT Although the owners were very friendly they were (rightly) concerned about large vehicles venturing onto the grass. To the point of annoyance. When we ventured out for the day it was frowned upon as we were putting their precious grass at risk. All the friendliness in the world doesn't make you feel welcome in that situation. For the cost the facilities felt very basic and to pay extra for hot water (both shower and washing up if needed) just felt again like we weren't truly welcome. This was a repeated theme. The owners were very friendly but you just felt it was all just a money spinner for them and they didn't really care about their guests. I would only return as a stop over (but seeing as it's so far off the beaten track this is highly unlikely)

We were told where we could camp and it was a lot of hassle to be able to pitch our tent where we wanted. We were told we couldn't park on the grass yet with twenty or more other cars parked we went moving. All on a hillside. Extra money for shower and hot water for dishes. Pool closed and looking dirty and unused.

My husband, 3 dogs and I had a wonderful weeks holiday here in our camper van. Lovely green field site with stunning far reaching views of the sea. Good facilities. However needed lots of 20p’s for showers and hot water. Carol the site owner was lovely and very helpful. I highly recommend.
