Beautiful place to walk. Small car park (no charge), lots of wildlife. Open till 4pm. Dogs must be kept on leads to protect the local wildlife. Quite muddy in places. Not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs.

Lovely walk today, getting close to the wildlife. Good amenities and great for all ages. Bit muddy still in places but the team are doing a great job of trying to make all areas safe to walk on. Pleasantly surprised at this out of the way nature reserve. Will definitely go again, maybe see the peacock on the next visit instead of just hearing it.

Small but very clean park nice for walk with dog. What surprised me there was public toilets . Bigger parks not often have got this facilities . Also bins for rubbish were around which are important to keep place clean.

We visited this place on 23rd June, and have regretted it ever since. Whilst it is undoubtedly a place of tranquility and beauty, including thousands of tiny toads hopping across the paths as you walk, alongside a peaceful and picturesque lake, you must be prepared to be bitten !! Even as we entered, a family returning from a walk there warned us to get prepared for insect bites. However, undeterred, we braved the walk. Several days later my wife's lower leg was inflamed, and to our alarm upon close scrutiny there was something in her leg which resembled a tick! An Initial treatment of antibiotics did not prevent it from worsening, and 1 week later we had to visit an out-of-hours emergency doctor at a local hospital whilst on holiday in Wales who immediately gave her a double strength course of antibiotics, as there was a danger that the cellulitis which had occurred could turn into sepsis. Thankfully, the antibiotics eventually worked. However, my wife now has to undergo a further blood test in late August to check for the presence of Lyme Disease, as a direct result of our memorable visit. Additionally, my son-in-law also received antibiotics for a less serious bite sustained to his finger following the same visit to Pendeford Mill Nature Reserve. I do believe that the Reserve should post visible signs warning of the dangers of insect bites. We did not notice any such warnings. Our concern is that some tick bites can cause Lyme Disease, which is a serious condition. You have been warned...!

Great space. Free parking, open until 4pm. Dogs can go, but must remain on a lead. In normal circumstances, toilets available. Tracks around the lake. 2x well constructed viewing platforms to see the lake and wildlife. Typical slow walk takes about 1hr. Well managed site.
