About This Campsite

Location and Accessibility: The campsite is easy to reach with great road links, although the final approach involves a short farm track manageable by motorcycles. Visitors should be prepared for some noise from nearby traffic, reflecting its accessible location.

Facilities: Campers can expect clean toilet facilities praised by visitors for their spotlessness. However, it's worth noting that there are no electric hookups, staying true to its rustic charm. The site overlooks scenic views, providing a splendid sunset experience for campers.

Camping Tips: The ground can be quite hard, so robust tent pegs and tools are recommended for pitching tents. Visitors who drive should check their vehicles for dust after traversing the farm road to the campsite. The site can accommodate both individual campers and larger groups, who have enjoyed exclusive use of the area in some instances.

Considerations: The campsite provides basic amenities and shares facilities such as toilets and showers. It may not be suited for those looking for modern comforts or electricity. The site is generally quiet, though occasional noise from aircraft or road traffic might occur.

Overall Thoughts: Pottles Farm Camping is ideal for those seeking an authentic camping experience close to nature, offering everything you need for a peaceful getaway. The friendly staff, beautiful views, and affordable pricing make it a worthwhile destination in Devon.

A great overnight stay whilst on a motorcycle trip around Devon. Very friendly chap running the place and an absolute bargain at £10 for 2 motorcycles and 2 tents in mid September. Toilet facilities were absolutely spotless. It is a farm track leading up to the camping field but easily manageable on our loaded Harleys so not an issue at the time of our stay. There is some traffic noise as to be expected from it's location but I didn't find it an issue. Would definitely recommend this site, and will definitely stay again if I'm ever in the area!

Pleasant enough place to stay with nice site staff-nice and quiet apart from the odd low flying plane and night motorway traffic. Only recommendation is to take an SDS drill to use to put your tent up as the ground is like concrete and we destroyed more tent pegs than we used-plus snapped my rubber mallet! Plus may be worth checking air filter on your car after your stay if your repeatedly coming and going as think it’s clogged up with the red dust off the road into the ground.

We stayed for one night, it's very very rustic. The actual bike/ motocross site is actually within the grounds of the shepherds hut. Toilets are shared also the shower . There is no electric as stated in the introduction on their website. The bedroom is actually on a mezzamine floor of which no photos are on the airbnb site. The steps are metal rungs . I would suggest it's for younger people to hire it out. Teenagers to mid 40's would be the ideal ages for people wanting to rent it out.

What a place! Had it to ourselves, the owners were really helpful over the whole weekend, even allowing us to have a generator for music. Great spot at the top of the hill for the sunset which shouldnt be missed. Toilet and shower were adequate and well stocked
