A lovely, chilled campsite. Efficiently run and very friendly. The shower block was super clean with plenty of hot water and enough facilities for everyone. Lovely pub, The Red Shoot, at the entrance to the site. Yummy food and dogs are welcome. Plenty of walks directly from the site. The site shop give out a couple of laminated maps for local walks. We made it to The Alice Lisle. Gorgeous setting. Menu looked lovely but we only stopped for a drink. The site shop was very well stocked and offered bread and pastries to order for collection the following morning. We only had 2 nights there but would love to go back for more as it had such a lovely atmosphere. Would definitely recommend 👌

Stayed in June. The site is very well kept, the staff are lovely and the toilets/showers are cleaned regularly and are impeccable. We camped in the main field which was nice but personally I would have preferred something more secluded/private. The playground was a bit of a let down, I don’t know what I expected but what they have is very small and didn’t keep the children particularly entertained - probably just a case of managing expectations. Our tent is 5m x 4m and we add a 2m tarp/awning making it 5m x 6m which didn’t come into the site 7m x 4m requirements, that meant having to pay an extra £10/night for 2m of fabric. I paid it on the basis of the excellent reviews but I do feel it’s rather unfair considering it was £50/night for us without the additional fee. All in an all a lovely site but for us it wasn’t worth the £60/night and I will take more care to consider pricing for future trips.

A lovely little campsite, friendly staff, local shop selling all the basics and not too bad priced either! Clean toilets and showers. The pub being close to the campsite is a welcome addition too :) only slight downside is all the plots are quite close together where they fit a lot of people in but otherwise a great place and we would return!

So impressed with the organisation at Red Shoot. The people running it are friendly and make sure it's quiet at night. They do all they can to make your stay a happy one.We thought it might be noisy being so near the pub but it wasn't. Good shop and lovely staff.

Such a welcoming and beautiful caravan and camping site. Clean and tidy. Friendly and helpful staff. Perfect location in the new forest. Great walks and fantastic pubs nearby. One to keep in our list of places to stop at.
