Absolutely the worst place for camping and relaxing. Owner is so rude and doesn’t allow you to relax. Just came to me and said it’s private land need to leave right now . But at entrance you can see it’s written “welcome to camping site “ Also he doesn’t listen to me and doesn’t give me a second to ask about how to join to camping site!

Only my second experience of a Scout camp but I can say this location was superb. Right next to Safari park with a gate we could just walk through into the carpark. Minutes from our tents. Facilities amazing! Loved the separation of toilet blocks m/f and under and over 18’s so us leaders felt we had our own facilities. Showers were lovely and clean also. Loved the lockers where we could charge our devices and battery packs. Honestly I’ve not overly been one for camping but this made it a pleasure so thank you Rhydd Covert for ensuring all this was in place. Was also pretty cool hearing the animals in the night what an added experience!

Rhydd is one the best Scout Campsites in the Midlands, plenty of activities and a little shop for sweet treats and drinks! It is situated next door to the West Midlands Safari park, this mean that you can hear the lions and hippopotamus’s throughout the day!

Great Camp here this weekend. Had a issue, went to See the on duty Warden Paul Bayliss and he dropped everything to help with a flat car battery of one of my leaders. 5 mins later and sorted. Top job. Site and toilets are great too. Good enough but basic enough that it feels like camping.
