Just back from a lovely bank holiday weekend stay at this site. The site it’s self I found to be well presented and maintained, I was sited on the field with electric hook up, the pitches were large, well spaced and I loved the fact they hadn’t just crammed as many pitches in as they could, plenty of space and not over looked in every direction. The staff were very friendly and attentive. My only negative comment would be the shower/toilet block, these could do with refurbishing, the flooring in the showers is coming away and holes in the floor around the toilet part, the outside looks god but inside just needs some investment! The saving grace of the showers though was the pressure and temperature of them, best actual shower I think I’ve had on a camp site before! (If you can get over the slightly grotty interior itself! I believe there is one only the one shower block as well, therefore it does get busy. One thing I didn’t know when booking and didn’t see until I arrived, and I’ve tried to find more information out this morning, but there is a sign saying it’s a ‘non for profit’ site, so I can only presume it has some charity link, if that is the case you should make this more known. All in all, I had a lovely stay, I would definitely recommend and I shall be returning next season for sure, thank you 🤩

Stayed last Saturday for one night while mountain biking on the downs. My impression was of a well kept site with plenty of space and good facilities. Toilet block was clean with showers that were hot and powerful. Staff were friendly and welcoming on arrival. The location is picturesque with great views of the downs and easy access to Hassocks.

Unfortunate experience… We booked in advance and paid, there was a yellow weather warning in place and sever rains on our arrival which we didn’t know at time of booking. We decided to leave as it was not suitable to camp with two 1 year olds and set everything up in a weather warning… All of that being no one’s fault of course. We rang the office as soon as we could to discuss the possibility of rearranging our camping dates. We did not ask for anything extreme, just the option to comeback at a later date. The lady on the phone came across very rude(whether she realised or not) and said as one of the members of our group had ‘checked in’ then they wouldn’t help us and started reciting the terms and conditions. A bit of common sense would have been nice, it was a yellow weather warning and the fields were very wet to be setting up a tent, especially with two 1 year olds. Any decent person/company would just rearrange but not here. The reply I got was ‘well it’s not raining now’ They are quite clearly just after money, which is what businesses are for but it would be massively beneficial to the campsite, business and customers if the employees took a course in customer service, because of the terrible attitude and non empathetic approach they have lost out on a regular and returning customer. Please note however, the initial presentation of the campsite was lovely, the fields seemed to be well maintained and the outer side of the buildings and roads on site looked good.

Not the greatest campsite. Dangerous for the kids with massive holes in the ground.. privacy was very much invaded and the owner would driver her car around making loads of noise when the children are trying to sleep. She made a lot of accusations which werent entirely true, such as children walking around disturbing everyone while on camp. She refused to talk when i asked to have a conversation with her as she just wanted is off the site. Quite an embarrassing old women that needs to hand the charity to a better and more welcoming owner. We certainly wont be back and i wouldnt recommend this site. Much better ones in the south downs

Stayed overnight last month while bikepacking the South downs Way. Campsites was very clean and tidy with hot water for a shower... booking was easy and the staff were very friendly.. felt very safe.. Will definitely book again for a bikepacking trip... 10 Stars 🌟
