I visited Sweethope Loughs CL when my nephew got married in Hexham. The site is quite remote from the town being out on the nearby moors. It was easy to find from the A68. It is situated on a small field next to the smaller of the two attractive Loughs. Each pitch is level and has hard standing, it is a good idea to keep to the hard area as the nearby ground can get a little boggy when it rains. The signs explain this so there should be no problem. Each pitch has electric hookup and a water point. It is a very quiet and peaceful location and the nearby lochs are very attractive. Orchids grew along the southern edge of the site near the loch.

Good for the self contained. Water and ehu at each pitch with bins and cdp opposite. There is a toilet block a couple of mins walk away but could do with a tidyup.
