This was an unexpected end destination on a late night needing a place to wild camp. I stumbled across this outstanding forest . Parking is technically non-existent but there are spots to park and the car park can fit about 6 cars . The drive up is bumpy , you will scrape the sides of your car approaching the car park area from bushes , I decided in the morning to go for a walk and I fell in love with the forest , stunning and I think since you get the feeling not a lot of human traffic goes through it you get a full view of how this forest grabs your senses, I've been in so many forests in Scotland and Scandinavia and never have I felt so close to natural nature . I can't explain it maybe it's just me but go there and you will feel the natural nature around you.

What is there not to like on a forest walk. The Tay Forest walk to the Hermitage is a beautiful walk especially if you walk up to the hermitage to view the waterfalls. There is also a more accessible path for those with limited abilities. It's just breathtaking.

Outstanding Wilderness, as always Scotland never disappoints!!! The forest is so large that I'll need to come back and take my time exploring. Waterfalls at the Hermitage took my breath away. A bit of trivia, this is the place where Beatrix Potter got her inspiration for all her characters in Peter Rabbit series
