Wonderful nature reserve, taking in the Tayport river, woodland and out to sea views. Easy access from Tayport. Lots of wildlife and interesting things to see. Views over to Dundee and Broughty Ferry as well.

I had a walk round Morton Lochs with an old childhood friend, who lives in Tayport. I wish I'd brought my binoculars, because we saw red squirrels and lots of bird species. Good paths and flat ground.

Very quite .. Not a lot of activities to do. If want to come enjoy nature and spend some peaceful time you can get into the cabins next to the loch. I could not spot toilets in the vicinity though. So plan accordingly

A cracking way to waste a few hours of your day ✔️ Ample parking, good access to walks for wheelchairs ,good information boards and most of all.....a tranquil walk with plenty to see.

Tentsmuir is a well known place in Fife, or even in whole of UK as it is a haven for red squirrels, seals and unique flora and fauna of sand dunes. Locals (like myself) come here often, but if you are a visitor I recommend not to miss this beautiful part of the world! Can be breezy at times, but once in Scotland you get used to it. The main entrance is paid (2 GBP) with no overnight stay, however during the day there is a nice pancake place/Caffe, car park is huge and there is a playground for kids. What else do you need? Binoculars, of course. Recently I stopped taking as many photos as I used to so here is only one with St Andrews in a distance.
