A last min change of plan meant I booked just one night here for me and my tent ...but I totally loved it! Fab (& entertaining!) welcome by Louise, and then later by the kind and friendly Tim, making sure I had everything I needed. As described - almost wild. Tim has the balance just right. The location is also perfect for biking, as I did, to Batch Peak, Cheddar Gorge & The Strawberry Line. Local Crown pub fab sandwiches & beers ... & v.cosy inside. I really enjoyed lighting the fire pit and spotting the deer opposite side of valley. And before leaving the next day, had another lovely friendly chat - this time with Paul (groundsman). Thankyou Tim, Louise, and Paul!

Tim is a great person, very helpful and friendly host. Good facilities and great location. We spotted deers daily on the hills opposite us. Also we had an amazing view from our pitch with lovely fire pitch. Thank you Tim.

Loved the Bell tent so roomy. TIM was so helpful made sure we had everthing we needed to make are stay enjoyable. Toilet was always clean. I will definitely be going back again.

We stayed in one of the batch bells over the easter weekend 2024. the Batch is a real Back to basics no frills Almost wild camp experiance, which was what we were looking for, and really enjoyed our stay. Tim the owner is a true host made sure we were settled and had everything we needed nothing was to much trouble for him. i would highly recomend this site for those who want a almost wild camp experiance. we shall be returning....

We had a perfect stay for two nights in the yurt here. The yurt was beautifully presented and had everything that you would need. Plenty of wood for the wood burner and fire pit. There are lots of electrical points inside for your use too. Facilities were really good and there's lots of room for the kids to run around and enjoy the outdoors. The owners are really friendly, helpful and lovely to chat too. There are lots of great walks in the area and plenty of local pubs to enjoy within walking distance. Overall, this is a perfect place to stay.
