This is a quiet site with simple layout, very convenient for the ferries coming and going from Portsmouth. The hosts were very obliging and quick to respond to text messages about our arrival. The facilities were adequate.

This pub has charm, character and views to enjoy. I visited today with my friend for lunch. We sat by a lovely wood stove in a room that also has a well in the room! We ordered home made burger and a home made steak and ale pie. Both served with chips and peas and a nice draught to wash it down with. Oh my! The food is DELICIOUS and lots of it too. Quirky little jugs for gravy and huge yummy chips. Very, very moorish. Lovely friendly staff who were eager to please. This pub has plenty of seating in a warm and welcoming setting. It also has a certified campsite too for those wishing to explore the area. Highly recommended.

It was never the same after it changed hands. It lost its cosines, the birds in the garden everything. The seating was changed and the atmosphere was never the same. The charm went out. The food and Sunday Roasts were great. We used to sit on the seats at the front on many a balmy summer evening.

We came here for Sunday dinner. It was really nice, plenty of choice and a decent size. The puddings were lovely too ( I'm still full up) . The staff were really lovely and helpful nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely go back.
