This is an updated review as they have replaced the caravans with newer ones... Been here 3 times over the past two years as we like the quietness of the site and area. Be aware there is trains going past regular but we are used to them as we used to live near a train line years ago. It has a fishing pond, not massive and could now do with the site manager getting his waders out to pull back the reeds which are encroaching towards the embankment. About 6 miles from nearest big supermarket but we don't mind that. Caravan Silver 5 and 6 have been updated to a newer version which is great only problem we had in Silver 5 was the boiler kept cutting out a total of 10 times in a week but we only had to call the site manager once then we knew what to do but it was a pain having it going out as was cold in the night and mornings. The other issue is ants! They are coming in from the door frame and the trim that hides the roof joint above door. They supplied ant powder as it was already in the cupboard so they are aware of them but that's only useful for lower down not rest of door rim where they are coming in. I have explained exactly where they need to seal with some clear silicone to hopefully stop them but only people next going into Silver 5 will see if they have done it, hopefully they have as them ants are a nightmare. Just as a precaution do take a spray bottle with strong salt water and lemon juice in to spray the areas entering as that does the trick also talcum power they hate too I just put some on my finger and pushed into gaps I saw them coming in from. This caravans double bed is obviously a queen size but they are using the double quilts which really they need king-size as you get a draught on your back. All in all a lovely week and we will go again.
