I booked a surprise birthday getaway for my partner because I wanted something unique and different and the Shepherds huts fit the bill brilliantly. The weather was rainy and windy but when we arrived we were greeted by Andy who showed us to our very own hut. Along the way filling us in on all the local walks, restaurants and things to do. Very knowledgeable of the local area! The hut we stayed in was the fisherman's hut and I couldn't believe how cozy it was, we were thrilled! We stayed 2 nights and the first night was heavy rain and wind and the hut didnt even rock! Plus it is double glazed, put my house to shame! There was a little log fire in the corner with plenty of fire logs (which Andy cuts himself and you can ask for more). Bed was soft and warm. Cute shabby chic / French cottage style furnishings. We walked up over the downs to the indian war memorial and there were beautiful views. Ate at the Plough and served lovely food as well as taking a trip to the farm shop for a cooked breakfast. I cannot rate this site highly enough. Close to everything but you feel cut off from all the distractions of the hectic life. Well done Waydown Team!

Had a 2 night break and it certainly made me forget about work for a couple if days. Sitting around the fire pit in the evening really relaxing all the wood and kindling firelighters etc provided by the really helpful and friendly owner Andrew. My wife and daughter loved the donkeys and my dog loved the space to chase a ball I think she wanted to stay! We will be back when in need of a recharge!

Awesome huts. Great facilities too. Lots of nice touches and in a great location for exploring. Coming back from a long day out to a fire pit and bbq every night was fantastic. There's even a small radiator in the hut in case you aren't a fan of the log burner.

I have had an amazing experience living in Waydown Sheperd Huts. The indoor decor of the hut is homely and beautiful. Suitable for couples. A windmill and a farm are in walking distance. I really enjoy the stay here.
