Stayed here for a couple of nights and it was amazing. So peaceful and beautiful setting. Everything you need is in the pod and the fire pit is a great addition. The website has all the information you need for before during and after your stay. There’s recommendations for where to eat and things to do so you can’t go wrong. Absolutely brilliant, thank you for a great stay.

We had a wonderful weekend, away from the hustle of life. We took our two beautiful dalmatians who thoroughly enjoyed a weekend of walking and getting back to nature. The fire pits are a lovely addition and convenient that they also combine to a grill which we thought was a lovely added touch. We stayed in the Deluxe 5 birth for two adults and two dogs which was just the right size. Nice big bathroom and lots of windows to cool the hut down in the evenings. It's very peaceful and we loved the added touch of the log store. We even enjoyed the no contact arrival with our names on the side of the wigman, it's nice to be left alone for your stay. On our stay we walked to Melbourne, this took us around 1.5 hours be careful as alot of this walk is along roadside. However we walked along the canal and then went to the pub for the afternoon before the walk back. The only thing which would have made this outstanding is a field in which we could have let our dogs run free, even if this was a small gated field, given the site is on 6 acres im sure it would not be an inconvenience to arrange but it would mean dog owners can let their dogs let of some steam in the morning and evening. This aside we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

A perfect 2 night stay in the Maple pod. Superbly equipped, spotlessly clean and a beautiful site. 10/10 would not hesitate to return!

Superb experience from booking to leaving. Extensive information received upon booking which included everything we needed to know about stay and the local area. We needed to rearrange our booking due to illness, we contacted Emma who changed this without issue. Our dog friendly cabin ‘Cherry’ was spotless and included everything we needed for a great stay. The cabins are well spaced around a lovely lake, which was so picturesque being frozen upon our arrival. So quiet and peaceful. Great lake and woodlands, perfect for short dog walks. The best fire pit / bbq ever! Nice pub 2.5 miles away, The Melbourne Arms, lovely food, drink, staff and very dog friendly. Great walks in the local area. We would definitely recommend Ball Hall Farm to everyone and we’ve already booked to return in a few weeks time. Thank you James and Emma.

We were spectacularly lucky to win a two-night stay here in a raffle- it was absolutely blissful. The facilities in the cabin and on site are superb- the owners have thought of everything! The cabin was exceptionally clean and the instructions for everything were clear. The small woodland area was lovely and the location is great for travelling for days out in York.
