Second time we have stayed here in two years. It is fantastic and will definitely be returning. The kids loved it and perfectly placed for good hikes.

Amazing space. We enjoyed our stay, despite the rain 😊. Kitchen sheds are fantastic. Clean and sufficient toilets and showers. Excellent location for outdoor activities! Though we visited the big pit coal mine due to the rain - which was also a great experience for adults and children! The owners of willow acres are super helpful and friendly. A lovely weekend away!

I can only reiterate what has been said previously. A wonderful hidden gem of a campsite. If you like peace and tranquility this is the place to go. The owners have a wonderful concept of stress free camping. You literally pitch up and everything else is on hand. Well equipped outside kitchen area, compost toilets, shower block with toilets in main field with a lovely communal area. We had a truly amazing weekend. The weather was extremely hot so we opted to walk the meadows and woodlands which was lovely and cool for a hot sunny afternoon walk with our dogs who both loved the freedom of the land and were both chilled and relaxed too. The horse box has been lovingly restored and is very comfortable and homely. Although, we were mainly in the outdoor kitchen area which is thoroughly thought out. The hosts Sharon and Simon are truly amazing. Both very welcoming and providing information on local walks and places of interest plus a well needed bag of wood to ward of the midges in the evening. If you truly want a break away from the hum drum of life or get out of the city and back to nature this little hidden gem of a campsite is the place to be to recharge your batteries. Just waking up to the sounds of birds singing and maybe the cockeral at first light. Would highly recommend to my camping friends and family. If you prefer uncommercialised places, and an intimate setting this definitely is the place for you. Plus, a great little site to book for an entire family or friends as with the main field only having approx 8 pitches you could have that perfect birthday, family get together and somewhere the kids would definitely get a break from screen time. I also loved reading Sharon's child hood memories on the names of each pitch which added such a personal statement and shows the love she has of the land and the feeling she has towards her home which the family are now happy to share. Thank you Sharon & Simon for a wonderful weekend, hopefully see you again soon. Ceri, Andy, Marley & Gwen

Great campsite. Sheltered Kitchen areas on each pitch are brilliant. A short 15 minute up hill walk for incredible sunset views. Owners are really friendly. The site isn’t overcrowded and each pitch has a good amount of private space. We’ll definitely be back again!

Thank you for a wonderful half term stay. We loved the privacy and space this campsite offers. Pitches are generously spaced and thoughtfully angled. The private kitchen, shower and composting toilet facilities made camping easy and comfortable. The owners are welcoming and make a lot of effort to ensure everyone on site was having a good experience. There's not a lot to do (part of its charm!) and you need a car to explore, but it was a great base and far preferable for us than the big, crowded sites in more fashionable parts of Wales.
