A lovely, quiet, and convenient camp! We stopped in for a night with our camper van for a much needed rest from the road as we head north. Not only is the site very well maintained, the owners were very accommodating and eager to assist. I think we lucked out nabbing a spot considering the number of longer stay campers already in place. The level gravel pitch was a nice change from the grassy fields we’ve encountered at prior camps. Definitely dog friendly based on the number of morning dog walkers seen.

We spent our fourth time in this tranquil, beautiful setting and it’s been an amazing time again - in fact, we’ve now sited our caravan there in preference to our previous site as the service, location, facilities and atmosphere far outweighed our choice last year! The facilities are as immaculate as you’d find, never came across any issues, Dave and Ruth really live, eat and breathe customer service and want to give every visitor that special treatment! I know people had reservations about the electric meters, but it worked out less than £4.00 per night, so it’s less than most ‘all-inclusive’ packages! One last point, everyone we came across who were staying there, be it seasonal or visitors were friendly, happy and very sociable people too….not something you come across at all sites!

Our first and most definitely not last our stay at this site! Upon arrival we went to reception where we were greeted with a friendly, warm welcome by the new owners Dave and Ruth. We were then shown to our pitch, which were perfectly level so no chocks needed! The pitches are well spaced apart in beautiful woodland surroundings. Plenty space for your caravan, car and an awning. Water points are plenty and close by to each space. The toilet and shower facilities were spotless. Shower cubicles were spacious, plenty hooks for towels and clothes. Water was just the right temperature and pressure was good. The washing up area again clean every time and had washing up sponges, liquid and brushes. We came with our two dogs and they were made to feel very welcome. The enclosed outdoor exercise area was just superb. Again set in the woodland and completely secure. Places to tether you dog whilst you wash up or nip to the toilet - was a nice little touch to see. Would absolutely recommend this site - the owners have put a lot of effort in to make it a site to remember.

Stayed for two nights with five friends as part of a group booking 1st & 2nd October. The site is a woodland haven and I have to say one of the best I have ever stayed at. The shower and toilet blocks were immaculately clean and fresh looking. The owners/ hosts Dave and his wife Ruth were excellent, friendly and helpful throughout the booking process and throughout our stay. I wish them all the best for the future. Highly recommend this site.

Absolutely amazing caravan park set in the woods, we had the best time and so did our dogs, Dave and Ruth are such lovely, helpful, welcoming hosts! The facilities are spotless, a fantastic base for walking around Derbyshire, we will definitely be back! They eggs a d cakes that are for sale in reception are definitely worth trying! 👌
